calendarDo you usually set New Year's resolutions? If yes, do you keep them? What kind of resolutions do you usually set? If you don't set any resolutions, why not? Take a moment to reflect on these questions and check if setting a resolution for 2014 would make a difference in your life.

The only new year's resolution I ever kept was when I decided to laugh more. If you are going to set a new year's resolution, make it count. Consider what came up for you during the meditation I posted to release 2013 and embrace 2014, and create a resolution that will help you make it happen.

A resolution alone will not get you there, as you may know from experience. If you are choosing to set a new year's resolution, here are 6 steps to help you keep them:

  1. Set a resolution that has deep meaning for you, something that represents your love of self, and that will help you continue living your soul's purpose.
  2. Make it a reasonable resolution, something that you can start right away, even if it's a baby step.
  3. Connect with the feeling you have when you see yourself actually taking action, and achieving your goal.
  4. Set an intention to start moving forward on January 1st 2014.
  5. Commit to taking daily action, yes, including Saturdays and Sundays.
  6. Mark your calendar and take daily action.

What's your true new year's resolution?

I have a few, and one of them is to continue with the daily self-love practice, whatever it takes.

May 2014 be filled with self-love, love, health, peace, connections, meaningful relationships, joy, adventure, and all that you wish for in the new year.

Namaste,

Elisa
